2017-2018 PNW Girls tables posted

Feb 5, 2018. The 2017-2018 the PNW tables have been updated with fall league data and the summer tournaments.  Currently only 2005 to 1999.  Idaho spring league has not started so not mainly ID teams. At least 7 games are needed for a team to appear in the main tables. The Match Predictor (left nav bar) is linked to the 2017-2018 model. Choose PNW Girls from the dropdown on the upper right corner of widget.

2017-2018 PNW Boys rankings posted 12-17-2017

Dec 17, 2017. The 2017-2018 the PNW tables have been updated with fall league data and the summer tournaments.  Currently only boys are B05 to B99.  Girls have not been updated. Their tables are still 2016-2017.

Feb 18, 2017 PNW Boys and Girls table updated

Feb 18, 2017. The 2016-2017 PNW tables have been updated with fall and winter league data and the winter tournaments.  Boys are B06 to B99.  Girls are G06 to G00.  I haven't finished the G99s.

2016-2017 Boys strength ratings are up. Girls by middle of Oct.

Sept 28, 2016. The 2016-2017 rating posted. There was a delay this year because due to the birth-year switch, I dropped all the match data prior to June 2016. That meant I had to wait until 2-3 league games were in in order to have enough data to get good ratings.

I have drafts of the girls done and will post those to LP Ranks by mid-Oct. If you want to see the drafts, you can go to the WPS forum and find those.

Draft 2015-2016 PNW Boys ranks are up

[update August 9th] Fairly big update with Surf Cup and Davis Legacy Cup added. Fixed some bugs that were cropping in from team name changes from last year. If the LP Ranks are used for tournament bracketing, then the 2014-2015 tables should be used because in summer the tables are in flux until the fall league data rolls in. I added a .csv file that can be downloaded with the 2014-2015 ranks and fall/spring leagues data. The link to download is on the index page Index table for 2015-2016

[update August 6th] The tables are scaled to the median U13 team. In July, the tables are re-scaled to the new U13 age group. That means all the strength ratings jump up 200-300 points in July when the switch happens.

Starting late July, the 2015-2016 tables are getting posted and updated.  Index to the 2015-2016 ranks  You are going to see movement of teams and errors as we clean up the summer data.  If you see something amiss (wrong scores or mis-attributed scores), drop us a line at lastplanetranking on gmail .  There are a lot of teams to keep track of and lots of teams use cryptic or vague names in tournaments, leaving off 'color' or ABC and age.  It's takes some work to get every thing sorted out.   Make sure your team manager uses the full team name!  Club Color/ABC Age.

Did your team switch to birth year?   Half the WA boys U14 and up play in a birth year league.  If your team switched to birth year, it helps if you use a team name that reflects that (e.g. B00 to 2000B).  On the LP tables, B00 = Aug-Jul and 2000B = 2000 birth year.

The WA, OR, ID boys are updated approximately biweekly through the end of the U11-U14 season.

PNW Girls Updated 10-28-2014

West Coast G01s updated 9-4-14

West Coast G01 tables (yellow tabs above) updated with games up to Aug 31, 2014. Note, only teams with games in the last 3 months are shown on the tables. If your team didn't play over summer, they won't reappear on the tables until some games come in for them. --LP

Note that B03 (the U11s) will be spotty until fall leagues start and more data (and teams) enter the database. Also during summer, not all teams use an identifiable name.  Some teams/clubs routinely leave off basic information like club, team color/level, team age or play under a pseudonym ("Let's be the Wildcats this summer!").  Fortunately most teams do not do this, but it means that there are more errors in the summer data and it often won't be until the fall leagues start that we can figure out who the mystery teams are.

The G02-G99 PNW tables will not be updated until Fall 2014.  I'm working on a system where another volunteer can take over updating the girls as I only have time to do the boys.  The West Coast G01 tables have a volunteer who keeps those tables up to date.
